So, what’s new?

Design

At first glance, the Tahoe has always made a statement. Its bold styling includes a wide body stance, aggressive 18” aluminum alloy wheels and black-accented side assist steps. Inside, you’ll find leather-finished seating, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a suite of comfort and convenience features. The Tahoe is the definition of luxury and style.

In the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe, you can expect an improved design on these features. This latest model showcases a new, facelifted body design, with sleeker body contouring and a new front grille. You’ll also have standard LED headlamps and taillights, along with active grille shutters. The 2021 model’s body is an additional 7 inches longer than the previous year. The wheelbase has also been stretched almost 5” more, and wheels spanning up to 22” are available.

Performance and Mechanics

In the 2020 Tahoe models, you have 2 engine options:

• 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 – 355 horsepower with 383 lb.-ft. of torque

• 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 – 420 horsepower with 460 lb.-ft. or torque

You can also opt for 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive. You’ll be excited to know that you have even more choices with the latest Tahoe model. Now, you also have the option of the first-ever Duramax 3.0L diesel engine. This engine delivers an impressive 277 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque, and it’s available in all trim options, excluding the Z71. Not only is it the only available diesel option in its class, it’s also expected to provide best-in-class fuel efficiency.

All available 2021 Tahoe engines feature a 10-speed automatic transmission, improving performance, responsiveness and fuel efficiency overall.

This new Tahoe model also has an independent rear suspension, replacing the heavier, live-axle suspension in older models. There are 3 different suspension designs offered. A coil-spring suspension comes standard, but you can opt for the available Magnetic Ride Control shock absorbers or an air suspension system with adjustable dampers.

These new independent suspension designs make for improved handling when off-roading and improve fuel efficiency as well.
